Meet the team

Gary Bjerring
Designer/Director
Born and brought up on a coastal Coromandel farm, Gary left school to work in aircraft engineering, later becoming a design draftsman in aircraft, electronics, heavy engineering and building construction. An extended period of wilderness exploration and travel combined with an introduction to landscape construction evolved a passion in adventurous landscape creations. Installations are based on design elements, natural resources and master artisan works that have been developed and refined over the decades and are pieced together to suit individuals and environments. Gary has an extensive portfolio of award winning exhibition landscaping and heritage quality work which is heavily influenced by his passion for rock, stone, water, fire and native plantings.
Henriette Bjerring
Managing Director
Having managed the business from it's infancy to what it is today has been an ongoing learning curve of growth and development. Completing her business studies certainly helped cement these new learnings. It was of a suprise to discovery that business management was actually quite rewarding. Henriette also has an artistic talent and enjoys painting landscape scenes as a little side business and as a way to relax and be creative.
Erik Bjerring
Landscaper & Operations Coordinator
Ex aviation engineer, aviation enthusiast, automotive enthusiast and want to be artist. I consider myself a positive, optimistic person with a rather loud outgoing personality. Being a son of Gary and Henriette, I have a long behind the scenes insight into Wild Exposure and over the years developed a large sentimental attachment to the company.

Blake Callesen
Landscaper
I'm a proud member of the Wild Exposure team. As an outdoor enthusiast, I love exploring nature and all it has to offer. When I'm not creating stunning landscapes, you can usually find me spending quality time with my furry companion, going on off-road adventures, and catching fish. I also have a green thumb and enjoy urban gardening. There's something deeply satisfying about nurturing plants and watching them thrive. Additionally, I have a strong sense of family and love taking care of my elderly grandmother. In the past, I've worked as a thermal dynamic engineer and an auto sparky, but I've since discovered my true calling: working in the great outdoors and creating functional, timeless landscapes that connect people with nature.
Muzza Handley
Master Sculptor
Muzza has worked for Wild Exposure in varying capacities for over 20 years; first as a creative landscape intaller, then in later years as a master sculptor and stonemason. He lives on a certified organic farm and bush block on the southern slopes of Mount Pirongia in a hand built eco style home and generates most of his own electricity on site. A true campaigner for sustainability, biodiversity and lives his passion and philosophy in real time. His stonework and sculpture exude his understanding for natural history, originality and timelessness and his techniques show his true grit and determination. Muzza’s creations bring true life to stone, his artisan works worthy of memorial, heirloom monument and heritage status, suitable for private collectors, corporate and public exhibition
